My therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with evidence-based medication management when appropriate. ACT helps individuals develop psychological flexibility—learning to relate to difficult thoughts and emotions with openness and acceptance rather than avoidance or struggle. Through mindfulness and self-compassion, clients gain tools to align their actions with their values, fostering greater meaning and vitality in daily life.
Medication treatment is offered as part of a collaborative, holistic plan to support emotional balance and enhance the benefits of psychotherapy. When symptoms of anxiety, depression, or trauma become overwhelming, medication can play a valuable role in restoring emotional balance and improving overall functioning. In collaboration with you, we explore whether medication might be a helpful part of your treatment plan. My approach emphasizes informed choice, ongoing dialogue, and close monitoring to ensure that medication supports—not defines—your healing process.
In this initial 90 minute session, we will discuss your personal and family mental health and medical history, including any symptoms that are bothersome to you and how you are functioning in areas of life that are important to you. This may also include review of outside records, diagnostic, testing, or conversations with other healthcare providers, who are part of your care team. At the end of this assessment I will provide my recommendations about any diagnoses and next steps in your care.
Occasionally, individuals wish to have a one-time consultation to gain additional perspective about a particular issue in my areas of expertise. These consultations are offered solely to assist you in your personal decision-making process, which should include your current healthcare providers, if relevant. Because they are highly focused on your area of concern, they do not include a psychiatric nor medical evaluation and will be no prescriptions, specific treatment recommendation, or ongoing medical care offered.
My work is grounded in psychotherapy practiced within a psychiatric framework, integrating process based psychological therapy with medical expertise. I draw primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients cultivate awareness, acceptance, and meaningful action. Through mindfulness and values-based work, clients learn to navigate difficult emotions, reduce avoidance, and reconnect with what truly matters to them.
Because emotional well-being is influenced by both mind and body, I offer comprehensive psychiatric care that includes the thoughtful use of medication when it may support your therapy goals. Medication is one tool among many, considered collaboratively and carefully monitored to ensure it enhances your overall treatment experience.
I also offer time-limited programs designed to provide focused, goal-oriented support within a defined period of care. These programs offer structure and momentum for clients who wish to address specific challenges or develop new skills in a concentrated way. Each program integrates evidence-based approaches and is tailored to meet individual needs, offering an effective pathway toward meaningful change and greater well-being.
I work with executives and senior leaders who want to lead with clarity, steadiness, and purpose in the midst of pressure, complexity, and high stakes. Drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and a deep understanding of stress, performance, and human behavior, my coaching helps you respond skillfully to challenge rather than be driven by it.
This work is not about eliminating stress—it is about expanding your capacity to act in alignment with your values, even when conditions are difficult.
I provide expert witnessing and legal consulting services in cases involving mental health, trauma, and psychiatric evaluation. My approach combines clinical expertise with clear, objective communication to assist courts, attorneys, and organizations in understanding complex psychological issues, including the impact of trauma and its relevance within legal contexts. Services may include comprehensive record review, expert reports, and testimony, always guided by ethical standards and a commitment to clarity, accuracy, and impartiality.
